Rivet CX Group (Rochester, NY)

Director of Interaction Design | August 2016 – Current

Rievt is a very proud moment for me. I’ve banded together with some colleagues from my past and we have built our own UX agency in Rochester. The work we’re doing spans from writing user stories to developing prototypes for usability studies and even doing some R & D work for a variety of clients. As the Director of Interaction Design I get to work on both the design side of things as well as some of the front-end development; always focusing on how things work for the end user.

Catalyst Inc. (Rochester, NY)

UX Developer | January 2007 – August 2016

When I started out at Catalyst I was part of a digital creative team doing both design and code. My skills in front-end coding led me to take on more of a development role and this has molded me into who I am today. I am constantly looking for better ways of solving problems and I’m seen as an innovator. This has led to Catalyst’s implementation of various technologies over the years: SMS, jQuery, CSS3 and responsive design, to name a few.

REDCOM Laboratories (Victor, NY)

Web Developer/Web Master | October 2006 – January 2007

When I worked for REDCOM I did more than just the web-master position. I worked as a web-master, an Apple computer administrator, a software developer and even a Flash animator. I needed to efficiently manage my time and I learned that by planning out my projects from the beginning I would save more time in the end. I applied this idea to some of the projects I worked on, which included: a bug-tracker for our software development team, a job board for our human resources department, and an interactive directory with employee info, photos and maps.

Nimble Design Group (Rochester, NY)

Co-owner/Web Developer | January 2006 – January 2012

One of my college friends and I decided that we wanted to go into work for ourselves. We created an LLC and started getting clients. The work that I did was an amalgamation of design, development, and strategy for various small business clients in the Rochester area.

Vendmore Systems LLC (Stamford, CT)

Web Developer | June 2005 – January 2006

This was my first full-time position out of school. The job was to develop an inventory management front-end for network-enabled vending machines. Because this was a startup, I learned that I needed to work quickly and efficiently. This was my first foray into AJAX and SOAP calls from Javascript and XML parsing with PHP. Needless to say, though I was only here a short time, I learned a lot.
